Jan 1840 in Kentucky, mother of 17 children, 7 of whom are living at the time of the census, and son John, age 25, b. May 1875 in Oregon, along with Addie Stafford, identified as daughter, widow, b. Aug 1869 in Oregon, and Henry C. Stafford, identified as grandson, age 9, b. Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
George W. Ritchey the well-known farmer of the Parkersville section, died in Portland, June 20th after an operation of a local nature. The funeral occurred Thursday from his home, interment in Pioneer cemetery.
He was an Indian war veteran.
George W. Ritchey was born in Ohio, in 1830, he went to Illinois at an early age coming to Oregon in 1855, first settling at Jacksonville where he married Miss Mary Lowe. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his death as follows: Josie Wood, Howell Prairie; Henry Ritchey, of Spokane; Charles Ritchey, of Marquam; George S. Ritchey, of Mt. Angel; Mrs. E. W. Manning, of Gervais; John Ritchey of Mt. Angel, and Riley Ritchey, of Salem.
