1880 OR CENSUS - Alfreda Vinton, age 31, b. Pennsylvania, is enumerated with her husband, George L. Vinton, age 56, farmer, b. Massachusetts, along with children Charles W., age 14, Cora A., age 12, Mary B., age 10, Hattie E., age 8, Anna E., age 4, and George W. L., age 3, all born in Oregon.
1900 OR CENSUS - Alfreda Vinton, age 56, b. Jun 1847 in Pennsylvania, is enumerated with her husband of 37 years, George L., age 76, b. Dec 1823 in Massachusetts, occupation farmer, along with children George W., age 23, single, b. May 1877 in Oregon and Arthur A., age 13, b. May 1887 in Oregon.

Early Pioneer Passes Away.
Mrs. Alfreda Vinton, a Former Resident of Salem, Dies at North Howell Prairie.
Mrs. Alfreda Vinton, who died at her home on North Howell Prairie on April 6, 1905, was aged 57 years. She was a native of Pennsylvania and moved to Iowa where she was married to George L. Vinton in 1864.
The same year they came to Salem, Or., and soon after moved to North Howell Prairie, where they have since resided. She was the mother of eight children. The husband and six children survive her: Charles W. of Portland, Walter A. of Antelope, Mrs. Mina McIlwain of Salem, Or., Cora A. Vinton and Mrs. Eva A. Stevens, deceased; Mrs. Mary B. Waltman, Geroge W. and Arthur G. Vinton of North Howell. Mrs. Vinton was quiet and unassuming in her manner and disposition, and was universally lived and esteemed by all who knew her. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Mr. Jones of Brooks and interment was in the Pioneer Cemetery, near Parkersville.
