1910 CENSUS - Frederick Batchelor, age 45, farmer, b. New York, is enumerated with his wife of 15 years, Mary E., age 36, b. Iowa, along with Fern M., age 9, b. Minnesota, Mary E., age 4, b. Iowa, and Charles M., age 6 months, b. Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
On this city, Fred D. Batchelor, late resident of Brooks, Thursday, Oct. 8, at the age of 70 years. Survived by widow, Mary E.; daughters Miss Fern Batchelor and Mrs. Victor Shaw of Portland; son, Charles of Brooks' brothers and sisters, Charles of Alart, Indiana, John of Thompson, Indiana, Mae Wiresman of Ashton, Ill., Ada Singleinger of Miami, Fla., Sarah Lawsey of Ashton, Ill.; half brother Will of Ashton, Ill.; grandchildren, Fred, Barbara and Jerald of Brooks. Services will be held from the Salem Mortuary Saturday, October 10, at 2 p.m. Rev. Guy L. Drill will officiate. Interment at Pioneer Cemetery at Brooks.

Funeral services for Fred D. Batchelor, 70, were held Saturday afternoon October 10, at the Salem Mortuary. Interment was in the Pioneer cemetery, east of Brooks.
Mr. Batchelor died Thursday afternoon, October 8, after several months illness caused by a paralytic stroke. He owned and operated a small farm here and in the last few years was employed at the Cottage Farm near Salem.
Those who survive are the widow, two daughters, Miss Fern Batchelor and Mrs. Mary Shaw of Portland, and one son, Charles of Brooks; grandchildren, Barbara, Freddie and Jerald Batchelor of Brooks; three brothers, Charles of Alart, Ind., John of Thompson, Ind., Will of Ashton, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Wireman, Mrs. Belle Ebson and Mrs. Sarah Lawsey , all of Ashton, Ill., and Mrs. Ada Singleinger of Miami, Florida.
Rev. Guy Drill of Salem officiated.
