OBITUARY:
A. Caleb Simmons, 82 years old, and a resident of Woodburn for 21 years, died at his home at 1205 East Lincoln St. last Sunday afternoon.
He was born near St. Louis, Ore., March 1, 1854, and was the son of pioneers John and Emily Garrett Simmons, who crossed the plains by ox team in 1852, settling near St. Louis, and lived in Marion county all of his life.
Mrs. Simmons died on October 21. One daughter, Mrs. Alpha Gernant, of Clegg, Texas, and ten grandchildren survive them.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of Ringo.
