1880 OH CENSUS - Ella Beall, age 15, b. Pennslyvania, is enumerated with Tudor Beall, age 50, laborer, b. Maryland, and Caroline Beall, age 45, b. Sweden, along with siblings Charley, age 11, Pearson, age 10, George, age 8, Caroline, age 7, Lillie, age 6, Flora, and Flora, age 2, all born in Ohio. Also enumerated with the family is Anna Ostmark, age 26, b. Sweden, occupation servant.
1920 OR CENSUS - Ella Welsh, age 54, occupation restaurant cook, b. Pennsylvania, is enumerated with husband Patrick J., age 54, occupation kitchen helper, b. Pennsylvania, along with daughter Dorothy C., age 12, b. Ohio.
DISCREPANCY - Name spelled Welch in obit, but Welsh on DC, marker and census
OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Ella Welch [sic] Died Sunday, Burial Wednesday at Pioneer.
Mrs. Ella Welch died last Sunday morning, April 2, in a Salem hospital. With her family she came to Oregon in 1913 from Pennsylvania, where she was born on October 18, 1865, and to Gervais in 1921. They opened the Duck Inn soon afterward and conducted it until about 14 months ago when they sold it.
Survived by her widower, Patrick Welch; sons, Harry of Portland and Ted of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughters, Mrs. E. A. Wrenn of Hoquiam, Wash., Dorothy Welch at home, Mrs. William Nuttall of Houston, Texas; brothers, Charles Beall of Vancouver, B.C., Pierson Beall of Finley, Ohio, Ed of Louisville, Ky; sisters, Mrs. Lillian Brown of Pontiac, Wis., Mrs. Flora Later of Fostoria, Ohio, and Mrs. Kelley White of North Lima, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the Beechler & O’Hair chapel in Wooburn with Rev. T. J. O’Connor, pastor of the Christian church there officiating. Interment was in Pioneer cemetery.
