Indiana, along with daughter Gladys, age 28, occupation teacher, b. Oregon, and son Leslie, age 17, b. Oregon;
OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Julia E. Brown died at a Salem hospital Monday, January 29. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. H.R. Scheurman of Monmouth, two sons, Karl M. Brown of Gervais and Leslie H. Brown of Forest Grove; one brother, David Hart of Berkeley, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Cora Farrell of Portland. Funeral services were held in Salem Thursday morning and interment was in Pioneer cemetery, Rev. E.E. Fisher officiating. Julie E. Brown was born at Crown Pt. Indiana, December 22, 1876. When a girl she came with her parents to Oregon and lived for a time on the M.L. Jones Ranch east of Brooks. In 1898 she was married to Geo. W. Brown and they lived for a time near Sheridan, then at Brooks and Clear Lake and their last home was at Eldridge district where they lived for nineteen years. Julia Brown was a true and loyal member of the United Evangelical church at Clear Lake. She was untiring in her efforts for the uplifting of her fellow man and will long be remembered as a true Christian. She was buried beside her husband. There she sleeps peacefully beside her husband, where they await the call of the Life Giver on the glad Resurrection morning. The grandchildren are Elinor, Shirley and Eloise Brown of Gervais. Sandra Lee and Jimmy of Forest Grove, Melvin Laddie Brown, in the Army air force in England, Gloria Joy Scheuerman of Month, Opal Scheurman of Willamette University and Milton Scheurman of Honolulu.
