OBITUARY: 
Pearl Amer Wood, 74, a retired North Howell farmer, died Saturday evening at his 413 High St. home.
Born June 24, 1881 in Cheney, Wash., he came to the Silverton area with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wood, when a year old. They settled by Hazel Green.
He was married Dec. 22, 1915 at Salem to the former Perle Manning and they made their home on North Howell until two years ago. They then moved to Silverton.
Wood had been ill for a number of years.
Besides the widow he leaves four children, Mrs. Emogene Wojcik, Falls Church, Va.; Mrs. Lucille Anderson, Lebanon; Mrs. Josephine DeGuire, Silverton; Ronald Wood, Silverton; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Pierce, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Bessie Wheat, Los Angeles.
Service time will be announce later by the Ekman Funeral Home, Silverton.
