OBITUARY:
Carl Johnson, 84, former resident of Rt. 1, Woodburn, and a farmer there for many years, died this morning at a Salem nursing home, where he had been a patient for the past six months.
Mr. Johnson, who had lived at the Woodburn address for 28 years, was born in Sweden, Sept. 7, 1875, and came to the United States and Massachusetts as a young man.
His wife, Mary Johnson, died four and a half years ago.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ellen Hollin, Brooks, Miss Clara Johnson and Mrs. Emma Shellito, Salem, and Mrs. Al Bucey, Yakima, Wash.; a son, Robert of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Howell-Edwards Chapel Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and burial will be at the Pioneer Cemetery at Brooks.
