OBITUARY: William E. Groshong, longtime resident of the Donald area who lived here the past year, died Wednesday night at a Salem hospital, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m. at Ringo-Cornwell Funeral chapel, Woodburn. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery, Gervais.
He was born at Parkersville, Ore., Oct. 16, 1972 and lived in Oregon most of his life, including 50 years at Donald. He was a retired laborer.
Survivors include a son Francis of Los Angeles; sisters, Mrs. Charles Wampole of Silverton and Mrs. Nellie Eppers of Aurora; two granddaughters and several great-grandchildren.
