OBITUARY: 
BROOKS -- Pearl A. Dickenson, 63, a former longtime resident of this area, died Thursday at an Aberdeen, Wash., hospital of cancer.
She was born in the Wheatland district north of Salem and lived in the Woodburn area 56 years. She was owner and operator of Brooks Nursing Home for eight years prior to moving to Elma, Wash., seven years ago.
Surviving are sons George and Paul of Woodburn; brothers, Cecil, Paul, Bud and Vere Lander, all of Red Bluff, Calif., and Ersel Lander of Chico, Calif., sisters Mrs. Doris Foley of Red Bluff and Mrs. Faith Osborne of Douglas City, Calif., seven grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Church, Brooks, with interment at nearby Pioneer Cemetery. Dale Johnson of Woodburn will officiate. Whiteside mortuary of Elma is in charge.
