Oregon, along with Kennie [identified as step-son of Leon], age 3 years, 10 months, b. Washington, and Virginia [daughter], age 4 months, b. Washington;
DISCREPANCY - Obituary gives place of birth as North Dakota, but Census records and Social Security records give birthplace as Minnesota;
DISCREPANCY - Social Security record gives year of birth as 1888, but Hollin record gives year of birth as 1880, and census records indicate year of birth as 1883;
OBITUARY: 
SILVERTON – Leon P. Alger, 80, of 812 N. 2nd St., died Thursday morning at a Silverton nursing home. He was born in North Dakota and had lived in the Silverton area the past 42 years, farming until retirement.
Surviving are son Leon Jr., Woodburn, step-son Kenneth Harrison, Redding, Calif., daughters Mrs. Virginia Reiling, Woodburn, Mrs. Mary Beede, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Deette Ebert, Ft. Lewis, Wash.; brother Daniel, Maple Plain, Minn.; and 16 grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. at Unger funeral home. Interment will be at Pioneer Cemetery, Brooks.
