OBITUARY: 
Bruce Jones, 57, of Woodburn, died October 6 of an apparent heart attach, while hunting near Medford.
He was born in Salem and grew up there. He lived in Portland from 1939 until two years ago when he moved to Woodburn. He was a retired Portland city fireman, having served for 30 years.
He is survived by his widow, Eunice; sons, Leland of Pendleton, daughters, Joyce McClenahan of Sacramento, Calif., and Rebecca Jones of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Rex Jones of Hillsboro and Keith Jones of Portland; sisters, Faye Hudson of Salem, Lenore Patridge of Monmouth and Pearl Root of Portland; and four grandchildren.
Services are pending at Simon Woodburn Funeral Chapel.
