BIOGRAPHICAL
(Gervais Star 14 Dec 1928 5:4): "Ellsworth Fletcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Fletcher, was stricken with acute appendicitis last Thursday while in Salem high school and was operated on that night at the Salem general hospital. At last report he is doing well. He is a senior at Salem high".
OBITUARY: 
Ellsworth Richmond Fletcher, 63, formerly a Salem electrical engineer, died Sunday in his Portland home after a long illness.
He was born in Salem at 1387 Winter St. NE on the site of the present Grant Elementary School, and graduated from Salem High School, then on the site of the present Meier & Frank Store, and from Oregon State University.
He also did graduate work at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and served in the signal Corps in World War II.
He worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Co., Portland, as chief of the marketing section, and was a founder of the Professional Engineers of Oregon.
Surviving are his widow, Esther Scott Fletcher, formerly of Salem, two sisters, Lorraine Fletcher, Portland, and Mrs. Flora Headricks, Rainier; a son, John, Portland; a daughter, Jane Brown, Eugene; and three
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church, 11th and Alder St., Portland.
