OBITUARY: Leonard R. Boaz, 65, of 4067 Market St NE, formerly of Woodburn, died Saturday in Wenatchee, Wash., while visiting relatives.
Born in Spencerville, Oka., he came to this area from Arizona in 1943. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Assembly of God Church in Brooks and a farmer.
Survivors include his widow, Cora, sons, Eldon and Clifton, both of Salem, and Harvey, Hugo, Okla., daughters, Feye Eli, Barbara Early and Nancy Boaz all of Salem and Joyce and Lana Wilkey, both of Wenatchee, stepfather and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Wilkey, Salem; brothers, Winfred Boaz, Gervais, and Francis Boaz, Newberg, sister Freda Turrentine, Salem and 18 grandchildren.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cornwell mortuary, Woodburn with interment in Pioneer Cemetery, Brooks.
