KEIZER -- Jack E. Weddle, 47, died Thursday.
He was born in Salem and graduated from McNary High School. He attended Lane Community College.
He served in the Oregon National Guard for seven years. He worked in hotel management in Reno and Las Vegas.
He was general manager for Shilo Inns and received Manager of the Year award in 1989. He also owned a specialty gift and card shop, Heart to Heart. He was a member of the Salem Elks and National Rifle Association.
He enjoyed downhill skiing and the outdoors.
Survivors include his mother Dorothy Weddle of Mount Angel, brothers Roger of Brooks, Brad of Mount Angel, Roy of Eustis, Fla., and Joel of Mehama; sisters, Mary Biggs of Salem, Helen Anderson of Lady Lake, Fla., Laura Weigel of Canby, Kathy Rogers of Mount Angel and Trish Albin of Oakridge.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Angel. Interment will be in Brooks Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary in Salem. Contributions: Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon, 5319 SW Westgate Dr., Suite 113, Portland, 97221.
