Pioneer Memorial Cemetery ~ M. L. Lajoie
Print Friendly Version
Lajoie, M. L.
LAST: Lajoie FIRST: M. MID: L.
GENDER: F MAIDEN NAME:  TITLE:
BORN: Abt 1851 DIED:  BURIED:
OCCUPATION:
BIRTH PLACE:  Missouri
DEATH PLACE: Oregon
NOTES:
1860 OR CENSUS - M. L. Larjie/Lavyie [name is difficult to read - believe it to be LaJoie], female, age 9, b. Missouri, is enumerated with [father] L., age 36, b. Missouri, and [mother] M. A., age 32, b. Missouri, along with L. D. [Louis], male, age 12, b. Missouri, M. J., female, age 5, b. Oregon, and H. [Henry], male, age 3, b. Oregon.
NOTE - Cannot find this family in the 1870 Census - her mother (remarried to William Delaney) is found in the 1880 Lane Co, Oregon census records, as are the brothers. As M. L., b. about 1851 is not found in census records after 1860, and is not listed in the Lajoie family history records provided by Joan Lajoie, it is likely that M. L. can be named as one of the "Lajoie Daughters" buried here. There are at least 2, and may be 3 "Daughters" burials here, as Mrs. Lajoie is listed in the 1900 Lane Co., Oregon census, as the mother of 8 children, with only 3 living at the time of the census. Five children are accounted for in Joan Lajoie's family history records.
