OBITUARY:
YUMA, Ariz. - Richard J. Kirkwood, 71, died Dec 27.
He was born in Newberg, and was a logger and mechanic. He lived in Gervais for may years and moved to Yuma in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; sister Barbara Rhoads of Sisters; children Connie Lopez of Maui, Hawaii; Chris Tracy of Salem and David Kirkwood of Louisiana; two step-children; 13 granchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held later in the Gervais area. Arrangements are by Kammann mortuary.
