OBITUARY:
Ronald E. Jones, Jr., of Salem passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 28.
Ron was born Oct. 20, 1926 to Ronald Sr. and Madge Jones of Brooks and lived in the Salem area all his 80 years. He married his wife 'Penny' Barbara (Harris) in 1952 and enjoyed 54 years as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
His other life long love was skiing. He eagerly awaited the snowfall every winter including this one.
In his long career as a homebuilder and Realtor, he brought innovation and leadership to the Salem area. His developements included Glenwood, Battlecreek, and Croisan Mt.
Ron is survived by his wife, Penny; three children, Jeff, Leslie, and Sydney; and four grandchildren. We will all miss him very much.
A memorial service will be held this Sunday, Dec. 3,, 2 p.m., at Trinity Covenant Church, 5020 Liberty Road South in Salem.
