1900 NE CENSUS - George Dunn, age 54, b. May 1846 in Ohio, occupation stock man, is enumerated with his wife of 32 years, Mary, age 51, b. Oct 1848 in Indiana, mother of 9 children 7 of whom are living at the time of the census, along with George W., age 29, occupation stock man, b. Sep 1870 in Missouri, Mathias, age 26, occupation stock man, b. Apr 1874 in Ohio, Rolly, age 14, b. Feb 1886 in Nebraska, Lesley E., age 11, b. May 1889 in Nebraska, and Charles A., age 8, b. Nov 1891 in Nebraska.
1910 OR CENSUS - George W., age 63, farmer, b. Ohio, is enumerated with his wife of 42 years, Mary, age 62, b. Indiana, along with Rollie O., age 24, farm laborer, Wesley, age 20, and Charles H., age 18, all born in Nebraska.
DISCREPANCY - obituary gives year of marriage to Mary as 1872, but she is enumerated with him as his wife in the 1870 census - and 1900 census indicates that they have been married for 32 years.
OBITUARY: 
George W. Dunn was born in Licking Co., Ohio May 26, 1846 and passed away at his home in North Howell Jan. 29, 1926 at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 3 days.
He volunteered in the Northern Army during the Civil War and was captured and held prisoner in the Andersonville prison for 6 months. After the war was closed he went to Missouri where he was married to Mary Deffenbaough Croser in 1872. They spent the early part of their married life in Nebraska then coming to Washington where they lived for two years. In 1910 they made their home in North Howell living there till the time of their death. They had nine children, three of whom preceeded them to the great beyond.
