BIOGRAPHICAL (From Annals Of The S.W.R. Jones Family, pg 64): "Clay graduated from O. A. C. He is now captain of a ship in the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey at Manila. He and his wife, who is of Scotch descent, expect to come home durning the present year [1930], by way of Scotland, where they will visit the ancestral home of the Corries".
OBITUARY: 
Funeral services for Lieutenant Commander George Clayton Jones, aged 50, who died of a heart attack in San Juan, Porto Rico, August 15, was held Wednesday afternoon from the Rigdon chapel in Salem. Burial services were at Pioneer cemetery, south of Gervais, and were conducted by Fidelity lodge (Masonic) of Gervais. He was a brother of Mrs. A. E. Austin and Wallace Jones of Woodburn, and was a member of the pioneer Jones family of this section. His father, Jesse Jones, was a brother of M.L. and the late Scott Jones.
