Oregon, Ward Manning, age 14, b. Oregon, and Henry Stafford, identified as step-son [of Eugene], age 19, b. Oregon. Also enumerated with the family is Mary Manning, identified as mother [of Eugene], age 72, widow, b. Missouri.
OBITUARY: 
Eugene W. Manning, 82, died at his home morth of Brooks, Saturday, Jun 26. He was born on the farm where he lived, November 12, 1860, the son of Francis and Mary Jane Manning, early pioneers. On October 28, 1887, her married Miss Stafford, who died October 6, 1902. Three of their four children are living. They include Ward Manning, Mrs. Merle Ramp and Mrs. Perle Wood, all of Brooks.
In 1904 he married Mrs. Addied Stafford, who survives him. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held from the Ringo funeral home in Woodburn, Wednesday, June 30, at 2:30 p.m., with concluding services in the Pioneer cemetery.
