Oregon.  OBITUARY:  Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Scott funeral home in Portland Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock for Cecil W. Simmons, 65, resident of Marion county for many years who died in Portland Tuesday. Graveside services will be held at the Pioneer cemetery at Brooks about 3:30 pm. Simmons, who was the son of Asa and Louisa Simmons, as a young man lived on Howell Prairie and South Bottom. He was a member of the Evangelical church at Clear Lake. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Sargent Simmons; three sons, Floyd Simmons of Portland, Rae Simmons of Cleveland, Ohio, and Lyle Simmons in Kansas; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Miller of Portland and Mrs. Chester Dencer.
