OBITUARY: 
William Franklin Wood, 77, Rt. 1, Brooks, who had lived in the district for 15 years, died in a Woodburn nursing home Thursday.
Mr. Wood was born at Seldon, Neb., March 17, 1879.
Surviving are five sons, Frank W., Aumsville; George A. and Claude A. Wood, Salem; Norton E. Brooks and Dwight B. Wood, Fossil; two daughters, Dollie I. Baughman, Brooks, and Grace Bolton, Salem; a brother, Charlie W. Wood, Baird, Neb., and a sister, Angie Bassett, Neb.; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ringo-Cornwell Funeral Chapel, Woodburn, with the Rev. Ernest Tremblay of the Gervais Presbyterian church officiating.
Burial will be in Pioneer cemetery near Brooks.
