OBITUARY: 
Funeral services will be today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. in the Ringo-Cornwell Funeral Home, for George A. Ramp, 79, a lifelong resident of Brooks, who passed away Monday, Nov. 6, in a Salem nursing home.
Mr. Ramp farmed on land that was his grandfather’s donation land claim. Besides farming, he was a breeder of racing horses and was active in the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Gervais Lodge No. 4, Salem Scottish Rite, and Al Kader Shrine.
Survivors include the widow, Merle, son, Everett of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter, Mrs. Hattie Golliet of Mehama; two grandchildren.
Interment will be given in the Pioneer Cemetery in Salem.
