OBITUARY: Robert W. Hooper, 68, of 8060 Pueblo St., died Wednesday at his home following a long illness. Born in Mill Springs, Mo., he came to Oregon in 1947 and lived in the Brooks area north of Salem for the past six years. He was a farm laborer. Survivors include his widow, Connie, Brooks; sons, Robert Junior, Newberg, and Charles and Carl, both of Salem; daughters, Ellen Boaz, Wilma Wyant and Ruby Johnson, all of Salem, and Norma Landers, Riddle; stepsons, James Davidson, Gervais, and Larry Davidson, Mill City; a step-daughter, Joan Murphy, Lyons; a brother, Carl, in Indiana; a sister, Amanda Teele, Castle Rock, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Cornwell mortuary, Woodburn. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Brooks.
