OBITUARY: 
Joseph Henry Kirkwood, 80, of Salem, died Thursday, Nov. 11 in a Portland hospital.
He was born in Sheridan, east of Amity, and for most of his life he was a farmer in the Gervais area.
Survivors include son, Richard of Salem, daughter Cecelia McDermeit, Salem, Barbara Dagenhardt, Bend; brother, Karl Kirkwood, Otis; 10 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
Services were held on Nov. 15 in Cornwell Colonial Chapel, with interment in Pioneer Cemetery near Brooks.
