Jones, 83, of 2630 Church St. NE, died Saturday in a local nursing home. Survivors include daughters Aminta Hawley and Sally Joe Bechtold, both of Salem, and Bertha Mullins, Independence; sons S. Paul Jones Jr., Ontario, Stanley Jones, Independence, and Daryl Jones, Monmouth; 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Rigdon-Ransom mortuary. Interment will be in Brooks Pioneer Cemetery.
