OBITUARY:  Henry Rasmussen, 79, 6842 25th Ave., NE, dies Saturday in a local nursing home. Born in Canada, he was a Salem resident all of his life in the Hazelgreen are. He worked for Marion County Road Department for 14 years, and for Silver Falls Timber Co., Silverton. Her retired in 1965. Survivors include wife, Opal M.; daughters Marilyn J. Lehnherr and Carol A. Parsons, both Salem; brothers Oscar, Mountain Home, Ark.; and Antone Salem; two grandchildren. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary and interment in Brooks Pioneer Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
