He was born in Salem and lived in the Brooks-Salem area all his life. He was a farm laborer. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis May; sons, Norman D. Jr., Keizer, Allan L., Salem, and John Mickey Thompson, Brooks; daughters Linda L. Beier, Keizer, Cathy M. Marsellis, Jefferson, Diana L. Weathers, Darlene L. Hutchings and Gina R. Panko, all of Salem; brothers Carl, Salem, Calvin, California, Ron, Mehama, and Jerry, Reno, Nev.; sisters, Maurene Holt, Maryland, Nadine Sturm and Pat Knittle, both of Salem Contributions may be made to the Mid-Valley Hospice. Arrangements are by Keizer mortuary.
