Anna “Alberta” Becker-Bolser, 99, of Salem, died Sunday.
She was born in Ness City, Kan., moved to Oregon when she was 3 and was raised in the Gervais area. She moved to Salem in 1945. She was a homemaker and cannery worker.
Her first husband, Edwin Becker, died in 1944. She later married Henry Bosler [Bolser], and he died in 1967. She was a member of the First Christian Church, was an avid quiltmaker and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include her sons, Norris A. Becker of Gervais, Hollis E. Becker of Fremont, Calif., and Orland Becker of Salem; brother, Al Nusom of Aloha, seven grandchildren 17 (great)-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Gravside services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Brooks Pioneer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Rigdon-Ransom mortuary.
Contributions may be made to the Lions Eye Bank or the Tierra Rose Care Center Activity Fund.
