Born in Whiteson, she grew up in the Willamette Valley and at 13 moved to Portland, where she attended Catholic School. She was a housekeeper in Salem area motels, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Salvation Army Church, and volunteered for the Salvation Army with the Home League and as a bell ringer at Christmas. She enjoyed seek-a-word puzzles, photography and country music. Survivors include her sons, Loma of Woodland, Wash., and Robert of Tracy, Calif.; daughters, Helen Canaday of Keizer and Virginia Bash and Dolores Davis, both of Dallas; sisters, Gladys Kosderska of Portland and Myrtle Hayes of Salem; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Salvation Army Church in Salem. Interment will be in Brooks Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rigdon Ransom’s Keizer Funeral Chapel.
