Jr., age 12, Aminta B., age 11, and Stanley, age 1, all born in Oregon. OBITUARY:  DALLAS -- Evan Jones, 77, died Wednesday. He was born in Gervais. He lived in Brooks, then in Mission Bottom where he farmed onions and peppermint. In 1964 he moved to Salem where he owned a donut shop for many years. He also worked for Meier & Frank delivering furniture from 1955 until retiring in 1983. After retirement he moved to Pacific City for five years before moving to Dallas Retirement Village. He enjoyed horseback riding, swimming and gardening. He married Emma (Bell) in 1942; she died in 1997. Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Gregory and Michele Evans Walker, both of Dallas; sisters, Bertha Mullins of Arizona and Sally Bechtold of Salem; brothers, Stanley of Independence and Darrell of Madras; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn. Vault interment will be at Brooks Pioneer Cemetery.
