OBITUARY: 
Alice Chapman Harris, age 68, a resident of the Lincoln City area for the past 12 years, died at her home in Lincoln City on Oct 2, 1982.
She was born to Guy and Lulu Barnett Chapman on July 20, 1914, in Mayville. She attended grade and high school in St. Helens.
Mrs. Chapman [Harris] married Harvey Chapman [Harris] on Aug 29, 1937 in St. Helens. She was employed as a school secretary at Raleigh Parks School in S.W> Beaverton.
She was a member of the North Lincoln Grange in Lincoln City, Seafoam Rebecca’s North Lincoln Hospital Auxiliary, and the Council on Aging. She enjoyed reading and needle crafts.
Mrs. Harris’ survivors include her husband, Harvey, Lincoln City; daughter, Ruth Falco, Portland; sons Jerry Leroy Harris, of Sitka, Alaska; John Harvey Harris of Astoria and Darrel Edward Harris of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister Ruth Miles, Portland; brothers, Kenneth Chapman, Turner; Donald Chapman, San Antonio, Texas; Edward Chapman, of Langley, Wash., Richard Chapman, Ocean Park, Wash., and four grandchildren.
Private family services were held Oct. 6, at the Cloverdale Cemetery in Turner. Memorial Services are to be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the directions of Omsberg’s Pacific Mortuary of Lincoln City. Those who wish may contribute to the American Cancer Research Fund in her memory.
