OBITUARY: Services for George V. Naderman, 88, of Salem, who died Thursday, will begin at 1 p.m. Monday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary, Salem. Ritualistic services will be performed by Salem IOOF lodges. Interment will be in Cloverdale Cemetery, Turner.
Visiting will be from noon to 8 p.m. today, from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the mortuary.
He was born in Billings, Mont., and came to Turner in 1909. He attended school in Turner and moved to Salem in 1922. He graduated from Oregon Agricultural College, now Oregon State University in 1917 with a degree in engineering. He was employed by the State of Oregon Engineers Office, now the Water Resources Department, as water rights commissioner until his retirement. He was also a cartographer for the state. He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the IOOF Salem lodge No. 1, and he was a past grand patriarch of the Grand Encampment of Oregon. He was a member of Jason Lee Methodist Church.
Survivors include his son Gerald Winston “Jack” Naderman of Sloatsburg, N.T.; daughter Cleonna Content Appelgate of Brookings.
Contributions may be made to the memorial fund in care of the church, or the Odd Fellows Home friendship fund, Portland.
