OBITUARY: 
Henry Rude, a farmer living on one of the Sunnyside Fruit farms, dropped dead on his farm at 6 o’clock Wednesday evening. He had been burning brush all day and during the afternoon the fire got beyond control and into the fence, where it was doing considerable destruction. He exerted every nerve and worked with a will to save the fence, but the exertion was too much for him. He fell dead in the field.
Deceased was a German and was 59 years of age. He came to Oregon three years ago and leaves a family.
