OBITUARY: 
Edna Thompson Stevenson, 83, died Saturday.
She was born in Nehalem and moved to Turner in 1945. She married Earl L. Stevenson on July 2, 1937.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Willamette University in 1930. She was principal and teacher at Sunnyside School and later taught at Chemawa Indian School, retiring in 1972.
She loved botany, especially native plants, and enjoyed painting. Survivors include her husband; and daughter, June E. Stevenson of Seattle.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Howell-Edward-Doerksen mortuary in Salem. Interment will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Judes Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1818, Memphis, Tenn. 38101 or Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Portland.
