GARDNERVILLE, NEV. - John Russell, 47, of Gardnerville, Nev. died peacefully and went home to be with the Lord and his Mother. John was born in Santa Maria, Calif. on October 31, 1961. John grew up in Galt, Calif. John was a loving and kind hearted person who loved the Rodeo, NASCAR and Off Road Racing. He loved all motor sports, but his favorite was NASCAR and his all time favorite was Dale Earnhardt. John worked in the garage door industry with his father and brother most of his adult life and served as an officer of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Salem Elks Lodge #336 and was Officer of the Year and was a good Elk. Survived by father, D.L. Russell; brother, Chuck Russell and wife Caroline Geer; niece, Candra Russell; nephew, Cameron Russell; brother, Ron Russell and wife Delia Palomegue; nieces, Andrea Russell and Carissa Russell; stepbrother, Kevin Minahan; uncle and aunt, Victor and Kathy McLean; cousin, Tammy Dumas, Danika McLean and his favorite cousin, Lawton Russell. Proceeded by mother, Christine Russell who was his whole world. A celebration of life will be held at the Salem Elk's Lodge #336 at 2336 Turner Rd. SE., Salem, Ore. We hope you can be with us to Celebrate John's Life at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009. Happy or Riled up, you were always fun to be around. We Love You and will be missed-John Russell Donations to be made to the Salem Elk's Lodge #336 on behalf of the RV Park.
