OBITUARY: Boy Was James Hall
Coroner Clough received notice yesterday that the boy that drowned Sunday at Marion was James Hall, the son of W. M. Hall of Marion. He was aged 17 years, 3 months and one day. James, with several other boys, was in swimming, and all but he had gone out of the water and had dressed. He started to wade out deeper, though warned that there was a deep hole near. He had not gone far when he slipped into the hole, and before assistance could be rendered had succumbed. A brother, in an attempt to save the young man’s life came near going under. The funeral was held yesterday at Marion.
