West Stayton Man Called by Death – West Stayton – Thomas Yates McClellan, 78, died at 6 o’clock Friday morning after a five weeks’ illness at his home.
He was born April 11, 1862. He came from Richland County, Ohio, to Oregon in 1892 to Victor Point, where he engaged in sawmill business and later in a store at that place. Later he came to West Stayton. He is survived by the widow, Rebecca Jane, and children, Thomas of Neotsu, Glen of North Santiam, Paul of West Stayton, daughters, Margaret Martin of Aumsville, Emma Condit and Ruth Hanson of Portland, Eva Neal of Silverton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral will be in charge of Weddle funeral parlors at Stayton.

Stayton – Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Weddle Funeral Home at Stayton for Thomas Yates McClellan, 78, who died Friday at West Stayton. Interment was in the pioneer Warren Cemetery in Waldo Hills.
Mr. McClellan was born April 11, 1862 in Ohio, coming to Oregon 48 years ago. He at first owned a sawmill and then a store at Victor Point. Later he moved to West Stayton. He is survived by the widow, Rebecca Jane, and children, Thomas of Neotsu, Glen of North Santiam, Paul of West Stayton, daughters, Margaret Martin of Aumsville, Emma Condit and Ruth Hanson of Portland, Eva Neal of Silverton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral will be in charge of Weddle funeral parlors at Stayton.
