OBITUARY:
Chris M. Bartruff, 72, of Salem, died Saturday in Mount Angel. He was born in Anna, Ill. He was a groundskeeper for Fairview Training Center for 32 years. He was an officer with Oregon State Police and the Albany Police Department. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Salem. He was a member of the Silverton Elks Lodge and the Senior Golfers League. He married Edna Sexton in Vancouver, WA.
Survivors, all of Salem, include his wife; son, Frank; daughter, Beverly Blank; and sister, Nina Stesney.
Services were 10 a.m. Tuesday in Unger Chapel with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to the church or to the cemetery.
