Tyke Killed In Farm Accident Is Kin To Two In Times Area Shirley (Illinois) – The two year old daughter of Nicholas and Mary Kieser Kuenzi of Shirley was killed in a far accident Tuesday afternoon.
Mary Ann Kuenzi was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Bloomington, at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 1980.
McLean County Deputy Coroner Bob Siron said the child was playing alongside a grain truck when she accidentally was run over by a combine leaving a cornfield. The tragic mishap occurred on property known as the Bane Farm, located 12 miles east of Bloomington.
The child was born May 19, 1978, at Bloomington. Surviving are her parents, a brother, Mark, and three sisters, Marie, Marilyn, and Martha, all at home, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kieser of Rt. 3 Bloomington, great-grandmother, Mrs. Helen Shipp of Minier, and great-grandfather, Carl Kieser or Peoria, formerly of Morton.
Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Kuenzi of Salem, Ore., and great grandfathers Harvey Kuenzi of Salem, Ore., and Walter Von Flue of Mount Angel, Ore.
Private services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Louis Kieser residence, rural Bloomington Apostolic Christian Church will officiate. Interment will be in Scoggin Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Louis Kieser residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Bloomington Apostolic Church Sunday School. Ludwig Mortuary, Morton, is in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley, Illinois – Private services for Mary Ann Kuenzi, two-year-old daughter of Nicholas and Mary Kieser Kuenzi of Shirley, were held at 10 a.m. today in the Louis Kieser residence, rural Bloomington. Ministers of Bloomington Apostolic Christian Church officiated. Bloomington Apostolic Christian Church Choir sang. Interment was in Scoggin Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Danny, Paul, and Robert Kieser and Steven Kaeb. The child was fatally injured in a farm accident 12 miles east of Bloomington and was pronounced dead at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1980, upon arrival at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Bloomington.
