OBITUARY:
Karl Fred Doerfler, 67, 7362 Conifer St. NE, died in a Silverton hospital following a short illness. He was born in Silverton and spent his entire life in the Salem-Silverton area. He operated a small motor repair shop.
Survivors include widow Florence K.; son Martin, Salem; brother Martin, Forest Grove; sisters Margaret Doerfler and Francis Doerfler, both of Salem, and Mrs. Bertha Fox, Portland; three grandchildren.
Mass will be 7:30 p.m. today at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Silverton. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Weddle Mortuary, Stayton, with interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Salem. The family suggests contributions to the cancer fund.
