Turner - Alice M. “Dixie” Meyer, 77, died Thursday in Turner.
Services are pending at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary, Salem.

March 26, 1911- Feb. 16, 1989
Turner - Alice M. “Dixie” Meyer, 77, died Thursday in Turner.
She was born in Waldo Hills and had lived in Turner since 1969, moving here from Salem. She and her husband, Harvey, operated Meyer’s IDA Foodliner from 1951 to 1971.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salem and the Turner Home Extension Group. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, needlework, fishing and hunting.
She is survived by her husband; and daughters, Carolyn Leighty of Turner, Donna Standley of Port Hill, Idaho, and Joyce Garibay of Eugene.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waldo Hills. Visiting will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary, Salem. Contributions may be made to the church’s memorial fund.
