OBITUARY: Elmer E. Hansen
January 16, 1911 - March 07, 2000
SILVERTON — Elmer Hansen, 89, died Tuesday.
He was born in Deep Creek, Wash., and lived on a farm in the Pratum area most of his life. He farmed and worked in food processing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and American history.
Survivors include his wife, Edna, whom he married in 1930; daughter, Elmetta Ramseyer of Salem; sons, Jack of Salem and Larry of Ghana, West Africa; sister, Agnes Pickering of Seattle; brother, Alvin of Salem; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Silverton United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Private interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are by Unger Funeral Chapel.
Contributions: Union Gospel Mission in Salem.
